An endoscopy is a non-surgical procedure used to examine the esophagus and stomach. During the procedure, a flexible tube with a camera attached (endoscope) is advanced through the mouth into the stomach to assess for various conditions causing difficulty swallowing, heartburn, abdominal pain etc.
