Laura Tranchini

Laura is a board certified Physician Assistant who is passionate about providing patient care that focuses on health maintenance, disease prevention, and patient education. She completed her B.S. in Exercise Physiology at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. She graduated from Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi, West Virginia in 2021 with a Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. During her graduate education, Laura gained experience in a variety of specialties while completing clinical rotations in rural West Virginia. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). She is also certified in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support.

While completing her undergraduate education, Laura studied abroad in Cuba to learn about different methods of health care delivery, specifically in regions where access to medical resources is limited. She also spent a year working as a resident care aide at a nursing home. Through these experiences, she recognized the value of a community-based approach to health care. Laura joined Ocean Family Gastroenterology in December 2021 and is excited to provide care to patients with a variety of GI conditions in Toms River and surrounding areas!

Laura grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and recently moved to New Jersey. Out of the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking and traveling to new places.
